Athens, Greece [12/5/2026] — The feature film BEARCAVE celebrated its successful avant-premiere on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Cine Flery in Athens, ahead of its official theatrical release in Greece and Cyprus by CINOBO on May 21.
The special screening brought together members of the film’s cast and creative team, representatives from the Greek film industry, journalists, artists, and invited guests for the first official presentation of the film to the Greek public following its acclaimed international festival journey.
Since its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it received the Europa Cinemas Venice Label Award, BEARCAVE has continued to build strong international momentum through an extensive festival run across Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia. The film was also presented at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, where it received seven awards and significant critical attention.
The Athens avant-premiere marked an emotional and celebratory moment for the creative team, as audiences in Greece had the opportunity to experience the film ahead of its nationwide release.
BEARCAVE is a film distinguished by its atmospheric visual language, emotionally charged storytelling, and distinctive cinematic identity, elements that have contributed to its recognition within the international festival circuit.
